Awarded Accreditation by the Maryland State Department of Education

We are pleased to announce that Crossway Community Montessori School has been awarded accreditation by the Maryland State Department of Education.

The accreditation is the culmination of a year-long review of our curriculum,  indoor and outdoor classroom environments, teacher and administrative credentials, school operations and parent involvement.

We are always thrilled to be recognized for educational excellence, and we congratulate everyone involved in furthering Crossway's mission of promoting learning, creativity, and community for all families!

About Us

Crossway Community Montessori School cultivates every child’s natural desire to learn. The goal? Curious, compassionate, self-directed, socially responsible citizens who work collaboratively, respectfully, and peacefully in a diverse intergenerational community.

Grounded in Maria Montessori’s theory of human development, each classroom supports children's development according to readiness.  Each child is free to explore within a specially prepared environment guided by Montessori-trained teachers.

Beautiful, orderly, calm classrooms provide peaceful, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate activities within a community of shared learning.
