The Nature School at Montessori Living is a nature-based Montessori school serving infants, toddlers, and young children in Montgomery County, Maryland. Our campus is part of a unique Montessori Living community, where education, housing, and lifelong learning come together in one place. Children begin their journey in our carefully prepared Montessori NIDO environments for infants, designed to support independence, movement, and trust during the earliest stages of development. As children grow, they explore a beautiful natural campus where gardening, outdoor work, and environmental stewardship are integrated into daily learning.

What makes Montessori Living especially distinctive is our intergenerational model. Families, educators, residents, and older adults gather regularly for shared learning experiences, community events, and meaningful connections across generations. Our campus also includes The Residences, apartments designed for educators, caregivers, and community members who wish to live within this peaceful Montessori-centered environment. Many of our guides live on campus, strengthening relationships and bringing continuity and stability to the children they serve.
