Community, Creativity and Lifelong Learning
3 months to 18 months
Crossway’s youngest children (3 months to 18 months) are enrolled in the Nido (Nido is the Italian word for nest).
18 months to 3 years
The IC is specifically designed to assist the child as his/her mobility and language continue to develop.
3 to 6 years
Also known as the Children’s House, students explore basic concepts of literacy, numeracy, geography, music and art.
This program provides a seamless Montessori experience for children who require care beyond the half-day Children’s House experience.
Crossway Community Montessori School aims to cultivate every child’s own natural desire to learn; we aim to cultivate curious, compassionate, self-directed, socially responsible citizens who work collaboratively, respectfully, and peacefully as interdependent learners in a diverse intergenerational community.
Grounded in Maria Montessori’s theory of human development, each Montessori classroom supports each child’s development according to his/her readiness. Each child is free to explore within a specially prepared environment and with the guidance of the Montessori-trained teachers or “guides”.
Designed to be beautiful, orderly, and calm, each classroom is a community of peaceful, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate activity.
