Montessori Summer Program

Crossway Community Montessori School offers a hands-on, Farm to Table learning program that translates fun in the garden to fun in the kitchen. Connecting to where our food comes from supports healthy eating .  Nine one-week sessions allow children to explore learn what makes gardens grow and how to prepare healthy food.

This summer's Crossway’s Farm to Table Summer Program are offered as follows in our gardens and state of the art kitchen!

Seeds, ages 18 months- 36 months

An amazing introduction to the the garden's sights and activities . Children tend and plant, explore the outdoors, and taste what they’ve grown. 

Morning, afternoon, early bird and extended day options meet the needs of all families. Every other Friday, a picnic welcomes parents and friends for a community meal with garden produce.

Who: Children 18 months- 36 months
When: 1 week sessions Monday through Friday, June 26- August 25,
Morning Program 8:30 am – 12:15 pm ; Full Day Program 8:30am – 3:00pm

Fee: $235 per week Morning Program/ $375 per week Full Day Program

Early Bird and Extended Day Rates: Fees: 7:30am—8:30am $50 per week / 3:00pm—6:00pm $115 per week

Sprouts, ages 3 years- 6 years

Children build new skills in the gardens, make compost, and take longer nature walks! They taste the fruits of their labor by preparing salads, pizza, and bruschetta , and set the tables with beautiful flowers they’ve grown.

Each session is themed to focus on; Animals, Science, Africa, India, South America, Bees & Bugs, Rocks & Minerals & Crystals and First Responders, with related opportunities for gardening and food preparation, creative crafts, movement and music, water play, photography and an in-house field trip.
