The Crossway Community Montessori School lunch program incorporates the Montessori philosophy of respect and a sense of community. When children eat together in a positive and relaxed setting, children have the opportunity to engage with each other eating exciting meals. Meals that exposes children to new healthy flavors and textures while developing healthy habits.
During harvest season, children have the opportunity to bring to table what they farmed at the school gardens. School’s gardens provide a living model of how nature transforms waste into new plants to sustain us.
